Brief description of eventsOn a foggy night, a train of laden coal wagons stopped at Kings Langley to detach some of the wagons. It was run into from the rear by a double headed luggage train. The driver and fireman of the leading locomotive of the luggage train sounded the whistle and jumped clear, but the driver and fireman of the second locomotive did not hear the warning or were asleep and were killed.
